Chameleon Browser

This page was last updated at: Mar 13, 2026

Chameleon Browser was a web browser that ran on Desktop devices. It was discontinued in 1999.

Note that there seems to have been a software package which was released around the same time - the mid/late 90s, also called "Chameleon UNIX Link 97". From what I can tell, this is NOT the same as Chameleon Browser (by Flying Crocodile).

Chameleon UNIX Link is a bundle of software for Windows computers to interface with UNIX machines; it includes tools such as Ping, Finger, Bind, TFTP, a Terminal Emulator and so on. No mention of a web browser.

Whereas chameleonbrowser.com indicates that it is specifically a Windows based browser, made by a different company.

If anyone knows more about this, please let me know.
