Dactyloidae browser

This page was last updated at: Jun 27, 2026

Dactyloidae is a Desktop web browser, across a variety of operating systems. It's a brand new browser; it hasn't even been out for one year. Dactyloidae's website doesn't work any more, so it's hard to find more information about it.

Dactyloidae is related to the Kirin browser (they are both made by the same developer)

This browser is a fork of Eclipse Hydra (fork of Basilisk, which is itself a fork of Firefox, focusing on support for Windows XP). The developer has posted on the Palemoon forums that it is a hobby project, while they are finishing off their College exams. So it probably won't receive many updates at the moment, but hopefully it will continue to be developed and supported in the future.

Talk on the forums indicate that there has been some great speed improvements to some of the Javascript memory management. If anyone knows more, please drop a note in the feedback box.

The website doesn't currently work so it's hard to find more information about it.

If anyone has more information about it; please let me know so I can add more info here.
