Thorium is a web browser that runs on Desktop & Mobile devices, across a variety of operating systems. It has been developed for about 12 years since launching in 2014.
Billed as "The fastest browser on Earth", it seems to have been compiled with a number of optimisation flags, including SSE4.2, AVX, AES, and modifications to CFLAGS, LDFLAGS, thinLTO flags, import_instr_limit flags, and PGO.
Neither the release dates or latest version numbers of Thorium are displayed on the download page, this makes it very hard to determine the last time it was updated. The longer a web browser goes without receiving updates, typically the less secure it is.
