Arena Browser was a lightweight vintage Desktop web browser and supported the Unix-like and NeXTSTEP operating systems. It was developed for about 5 years before being discontinued.
The Arena browser was one of the first web browsers for Unix. It was originally begun by Dave Raggett in 1993, development continued at CERN and the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and subsequently by Yggdrasil Computing.
It was used in the early days of the web to test and develop HTML, CSS, and other early technologies. It was succeeded by the Amaya project.
